• Regular cleaning of your system of your exhaust system is required as part of the Ontario FIre Code, Section 2.6.1.3. The Code complies with NFPA 96-1998 (The North America Code).
• It is stated in the Code that cleaning of exhaust systems is required at frequent intervals. Weekly inspections should be made to determine if there is a build-up of grease deposits. On average, exhaust systems are cleaned every 6 months and this is generally regarded as an acceptable cleaning frequency.
• Dirty exhaust systems pose both a fire and health hazard.
